Many years ago, I started down the path of well-being. Mostly because - I wasn't feeling well. I was training to compete (or as my husband says - participate) in triathlons and read in a magazine that yoga was the 4th discipline for tris. I went to my first yoga class and I felt like a contortionist - my inner-critic was on point that day and kept whispering in my ear - this is not for you - and then the instructor guided us into the last pose of the practice - savasana - resting pose. In that moment, something shifted and changed for me. Having someone give me permission to lay down and rest was mind blowing.
I dove into yoga and soon triathlons were replaced by immersing myself in all things yoga. Once you begin down a path there are many roads to take - yoga led me to Health Coaching. Which led me to Life Coaching. Which led me to Consulting, Speaking, Training and offering my knowledge of business, yoga, corporate wellness to other business professionals, business owners and yoga professionals.
My background in Business Management - and specifically HR Management has given me an advantage working with corporations large and small on Organizational Behavior and the relationship between Employee/Employer. I teach employees how to be great employees. I teach employers how to be great employers. I have the ability to act as a mediator and figure out what is amiss inside of an organization and how to fix it.
I also work with individuals and corporations who are desiring to make positive changes in their lives and the lives of their employees. I have worked with Fortune 500 companies, professional athletes, medical doctors, lawyers, CEO's, Non-Profit Organizations, teenagers and housewives.
My coaching style is based on the foundation of Positive Psychology. Our time together starts with understanding your weaknesses - because we all have them - and then shifting into you STRENGTHS. Together we develop a plan for you to understand your strengths and how they align with your values and we get to work.
I bring to the table a diverse selection of training in healthy-living modalities, including: meditation, yoga nidra, restorative yoga, yin yoga, functional nutrition and life coaching, as well as offering one-on-one coaching, group coaching and corporate coaching.
I am intuitive and skilled in meeting my clients where they are on their journey.
I’ve helped my clients break through the obstacles that seem to be holding them back in life and at work. Life's too short to be unhappy, unsure, or unfulfilled. Let me help you or your organization learn and develop better ways to handle the issues that are standing in the way of InnerAxis Living.
WHAT IS STRENGTH BASED
Strength Focus vs. Weakness Focus
Weakness Focus is looking at what is wrong rather than what is right.
Strength Focus means a focus on what is right rather than what is wrong. It is a focus on human strengths the promote human flourishing.
In addition to 1-on-1 consultations and group sessions, I regularly host workshops and seminars for people who are interested in developing their own coaching techniques.
STRENGTH BASED COACHING
What's going RIGHT?
Life throws many surprises at us, and while we cannot predict the outcome of any situation, we can take control of how we respond to certain situations. With my coaching sessions, you’ll learn about acceptance and how to exert your power of choice over whatever life may throw at you.
Arrive in the Present Moment of Your Life
Mindfulness can have a significant impact on your day to day well-being. Gaining a sense of peace and calm helps to ground you in the moment. You feel centered and stress-free, your only thoughts are those that present themselves in the session. New thoughts, new choices, new behaviors, new experiences, new emotions.
Understanding Your Employees
Employees provide a great service to organizations - however, there can be a real disconnect between managers and employees. With this service, I come into your organization and I ask questions like - what's working and what isn't. We go from there. We develop a plan and implement some changes. This is great for organizations that have a new team and they are struggling with onboarding. It is also great for any organization that is experiencing employee retention issues or poor employee moral.
